Is SmartLipo right for you?

In general, the ideal candidate: (1) is in good health, exercises regularly, is within 25 lbs of his or her ideal weight; (2) has one or more areas of local body fat deposits that have responded poorly to diet and exercise; and (3) is bothered by these fatty areas, and is motivated to get rid of them permanently. Dr. Marcus's body sculpting helps define and refine patients' figures, removing genetically determined and controlled pockets of fat that have plagued patients for a lifetime.

Tighter skin

SmartLipo uses advanced laser technology for more complete melting of the fat and skin tightening following fat reduction. The laser energy gently heats the skin form below, promoting a tightening not available with traditional liposuction. This allows Dr. Marcus to treat traditionally difficult areas such as the neck and arms where loose and flabby skin can be tightened. Results will vary, and Dr. Marcus can help you decide if this procedure is right for you.

Reduced recovery time

In many cases, SmartLipo can be performed under local anesthesia. For more extensive procedures, general anesthesia may be recommended. Our fully certified operating suite is perfect for this type of procedure.

Minimally invasive

The SmartLipo is a minimally-invasive surgical technique, performed with a smaller-than-a-fine-point-pen fiber-optic laser. The entry points in the skin may be very small and leave an inconspicuous scar. The laser wavelengths close down the blood vessels resulting in minimal bruising, less swelling and discomfort, and often quicker recover times. Procedures can often be performed under local anesthesia.

Mommy Makeover

To all those moms out there who think they can never wear fitted clothes or get into a bathing suit without wearing a cover up again, rest assured that together we can formulate a plan to get that pre-childbirth body back for you. Treating deep wrinkles, scars and skin pigmentation problems

Dr. Marcus uses the most versatile, state-of-the-art fractional CO2 laser system available to reduce or eliminate deep wrinkles, skin discoloration, and scars. "Ultrapulses" of the laser vaporize lines, wrinkles, scars, dark spots and other irregularities, layer by layer. This process also stimulates the formation over time of new, underlying collagen to provide better elasticity and support for the skin. Skin resurfacing is so precise that treatments are tailored according to the nature and extent of photo-damage, wrinkling, skin type and individual requirements for the recovery time you have available.

Thermage

Thermage is a non-invasive procedure that helps tighten and contour your skin in a single treatment—with no surgery, no injections, and little to no downtime. Thermage uses unique radiofrequency (RF) technology to safely heat the deep layers of your skin, while cooling the surface of your skin to keep it intact during the procedure.

This deep heating stimulates your body’s natural skin renewal process, which helps tighten existing collagen and form new collagen. Sculptra

Sculptra is a safe, long-lasting injectable product that stimulates the growth of collagen and restores youthful contours to the face. Sculptra provides an increase in skin thickness of the areas where volume (fat) has been lost, helping restore fullness to the face for a more natural, youthful appearance. Sculptra is not made from animal sources and does not require a skin test. The effects of Sculptra are long-lasting. Labial sculpting

Many women are unhappy with the appearance of their inner vaginal lips, or labia. The labia will often enlarge causing discomfort and embarrassment. This can occur on one or both sides. This condition can often be corrected by a simple, comfortable procedure under local anesthesia. Recovery is usually quite rapid and usually painless. Relief of excessive sweating

Excessive sweating occurs in the axillary (armpit) area in about 3% of the population. This is clinically called hyperhidrosis. Traditional treatment of this condition uses BOTOX injections which typically last six months then must be repeated. With the introduction of the SmartLipo laser system, one can now have more permanent relief of this uncomfortable condition.

The in-office procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The process involvesmaking two 3mm incisions through which the laser fiber is passed directly underneath the skin to destroy the sweat glands. The risks are minimal, post-procedure discomfort is manageable lasting for just a few days and most patients return to work and normal activity in a day or two. The procedure will usually eliminate a great majoriy if not all of the excess sweating in the armpit.
