So many men and women have unwanted fat in particular problem areas. Bulges of fat in the back, abdomen, thighs, hips, and even under the chin can seem impossible to get rid of with diet and exercise alone. Liposuction can alleviate these concerns, but not without anesthesia, slight scarring, and recovery time. CoolSculpting® is the latest non-invasive treatment for unwanted fat deposits. No needles, knives, or downtime is required to literally freeze your fat so that it never returns.
We Now Offer the CoolAdvantage™ ApplicatorThe new design of the CoolAdvantage™ applicator cup increases direct tissue contact with lower temperatures and cooling of a larger surface area, which provides patients with an overall improved CoolSculpting® experience. The CoolAdvantage™ applicator can treat tissue in the abdomen, flanks, and inner thighs with the following benefits:
- Shorter Treatment Times: Treatment cycles are 35 minutes, cutting treatment times nearly in half
- Greater Comfort: A clinical study found that patient comfort increased by 45 percent with the enhanced cup design
- More Tissue Treated: The new design of the applicator provides a larger cooling area

Frequently Asked Questions
This in-office treatment takes 60 minutes per area and is performed by our Aesthetic Medical Technicians under the supervision of Dr. Marcus or his nurse practitioner. During the procedure, an applicator, or hand piece, is applied to the surface of the skin and a suction pulls the loose tissue into the handpiece. The tissue inside the handpiece is cooled in a precise and controlled manner. Because fat cells freeze at higher temperatures than surrounding tissues, only the fat cells are damaged.
After your CoolSculpting® treatment, your Aesthetic Medical Technician will massage the area with a clinically tested radial pulse therapy (RPT) device that delivers powerful sound waves to effectively break up the fat cells in the treated area. Most offices perform the post-treatment massage manually, but we’ve found that doing the massage with our specialized device makes for a dramatically more comfortable experience, reduces post-treatment swelling and bruising, and allows you to see full results significantly faster. Most importantly, this treatment almost doubles the percentage of fat absorption, so you get better results than you would with CoolSculpting® alone.
Since CoolSculpting® is non-invasive, you can get back to your normal activities right away, including your normal work and exercise routines. Some patients experience redness, swelling, minor bruising, tingling, or numbness in the treated area, but this is temporary.
Patients typically start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after their treatment and experience the most dramatic results after two months. After three months, patients generally report a 20 to 25 percent reduction in fat in the treated area, and the body’s lymphatic system continues to flush fat cells for up to four months after the treatment. If more fat reduction is desired three months after the initial treatment is complete, patients may opt to have additional treatments to obtain further reduction in specific areas.
As with liposuction, fat cells treated with CoolSculpting® are eliminated for good. As long as the patient maintains his or her weight with diet and exercise, results are long-lasting.
The best CoolSculpting® candidates are men or women who are within 10 to 15 pounds of their ideal body weight who have a noticeable bulge or bump despite having a healthy diet and exercise routine. CoolSculpting® is a great alternative for those patients who don’t need or want to undergo liposuction surgery.
If you’re interested in finding out whether CoolSculpting® is right for you, call us today to schedule a consultation. During your consultation, Dr. Marcus or Nancy Honsa, NP will perform an assessment on your areas of concern to determine whether you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting®. You will also meet with one of our Aesthetic Medical Technicians, Nikki and Shawnie, who will work with Dr. Marcus or Nancy Honsa, NP to determine the best treatment plan to achieve your goals. The Aesthetic Medical Technician who did your consultation will talk to you about what to expect during and after treatment and give you a quote for the price of the CoolSculpting® treatment, which will vary depending on your areas of concern and the number of treatments needed to achieve your goals.
Each CoolSculpting® treatment costs between $750 to $1,500 per cycle, depending on whether it is a small or large area being treated. Patients generally need a minimum of two cycles, but the number of cycles needed varies based on the areas of concern and the amount of fat reduction desired.
The CoolAdvantage™ applicator has three uniquely designed, interchangeable contours to target specific areas of the body: CoolCore Advantage™ for the abdomen; CoolCurve+ Advantage™ for the flanks; and CoolFit Advantage™ for the inner thighs. The CoolAdvantage™ applicator provides a larger cooling area with greater patient comfort and faster treatment times compared to the traditional CoolSculpting® applicator.
